29th December - The Royal Oak, Chipping Sodbury, S. Glos.

After a last minute phone call from Tony at The Oak and a long discussion about quality bands they decided that they couldn't think of anyone between them so the Goldfish offered to fill the slot. Luckily they were due to rehearse this night and ripped out their set with the usual gusto. Tonight also saw the return of Bass Face whose stitches have now healed after giving birth to another baby boy to be known from now on as Charlie.

18th December - The Horseshoe, Downend, Bristol

Last gig of the year and the chaps hired a full rig from Panik PA and treated the crowd to a fully miked up session. This is to be the last played by Steve “Dairylea” Dunk(ers) and the band would like to thank him for all his help whilst Bass Face was off having babies. They also note that there is some room available for a bit of funky bass playing during the set. Merry Xmas all.

11th December - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

Goldfish Don't Bounce. Are they a lunchtime treat. Of course they are and a main course at that.

8th December - The Royal Oak, Chipping Sodbury, S. Glos.

The first of many late license gigs saw a jolly crowd who, along with a birthday crowd of ladies in 70's gear and free cake, lapped up a couple of hard rockin' sets. The gig also saw the unveiling of the bands new backdrop. Awesome.

26th November - The Black Horse, Kingswood, Bristol

“Ooh ooh ooh the funky bass player, the funky bass player now, he is here to show us how, ooh ooh ooh ooh” Yes, Yes, Yes. Special thanks to Steve ‘Dairylea’ Dunk(ers) for standing in on bass whilst Bass Face is off having babies. Usually found doing the Mark King thing in local funk bands, Steve has been drawn over to the dark side for some heads down rock. That’ll teach him to let his guard down. That said, a fine performance from the boys tonight giving the Black Horse crowd just what they wanted. The keys to someone’s car.

19th November - The Royal Archer, Kingswood, Bristol

Private party at The Royal Archer. Happy birthday Trace.

18th November - The Cat & Wheel, Cotham, Bristol

The new Boing Intro started the first set seeing the band blasting into Queens, Tie Your Mother Down, which dragged most of the rugby spectators in from the other bar to see what was going on. The second set had the full attention of the punters and the roar for more (sorry about that) and the amount of well wishes at the end made for an excellent night.

29th October - Rocker Live, Taunton, Somerset

Goldfish Don't Bounce doing the Halloween thang down the road. See the Gallery to see how the blokes got it on, laying down a creepy set laden with tuneful misery and foreboding. Luckily that’s what Taunton is into and was well received.

14th October - The Cat & Wheel, Cotham, Bristol

Where did all the people come from? This was a superb gig seeing the boys at their best. Every song was lapped up and full appreciation was shown. I didn’t know people could cheer so loud. I have spoken to the band who informs me that with their increasing following and calls for more will not affect their egos in any way. Now, I’m just off to their cloud to wash their feet as this planets soil does taint their pinkies somewhat.

8th October - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

Hang on!!!! Haven't they just been here? So? No reason. To ensure value for money the band added new songs Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day, Hush by Deep Purple and cheesed it up at the encore with Time Warp from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. That had to worth something in old money.

18th September - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

Sunday lunchtime gig going on here, which felt strange because of all the day light and stuff but this did not spoil the bands performance and due to the attendance of several young people Lilly managed to radio edit out the swear works to a couple of songs. "Who was the weirdo at the front?"

16th September - The Bunch Of Grapes, Bristol

The best venue in the city by far. People dancing, jumping around, carry buckets of sick, what more could you want. Fillets Bones managed to get cramp in his hand during Ace of Spades and had to play most of it with one finger, but luckily the beer meant it went unnoticed. Three cheers for the beer. Mmmmmmmmmm

14th September - The Horseshoe, Downend, Bristol

Hard rockin' crowd tonight and it's good to start seeing some familiar faces among the crowd especially when they buy beer in appreciation. Lilly Fat Bass Tid was suffering from delayed jet lag and a stinking cold but that didn’t stop him doing the business. and Fillet Bones was pursued by one fan desperate for his Goldfish earring but they had to leave empty handed as you don't touch a Goldie’s dangly bits.

10th September - The Old Tavern, Stapleton, Bristol

Just a short time away from the Tavern but it's a place where everyone remembers your name. The chaps concentrated on their hard rockin' set tonight much to the delight of their new friends and the roar for more could be heard from Miles Around. Yes, he was there as well.

11th August - The Royal Oak, Chipping Sodbury, S. Glos.

High on octane and adrenalin the band blazed through their set like there was no tomorrow. Fortunately there is a tomorrow, which of course is now or if you’re reading this in the future, then some sort of documentation must exist to back me up.

4th August - Campbells Landing, Clevedon, N. Somerset

As the blokes were setting up their gear they looked out onto a dark and storming horizon being Clevedons skyline tonight. Being hardened holidaymakers the beach was full of bikini-clad beauties and mad middle-aged men braving the sea for a last minute dip. But mad is good, as they all went home, dried off and ventured out to a Goldfish Don't Bounce gig and loved every second. "Keep spreading the news, tum ti tum, tum ti tum"

28th July - The Old Tavern, Stapleton, Bristol

It is always a good gig at the Tavern and tonight was no exception. The lads stepped in and filled a cancellation slot much to the vocal appreciation of the crowd with new tunes N.I.B. and Mr. Crowley being very well received. "We love you all, now let me see those f*****g hands"

22nd July - Rockers Live, Taunton

The band mic'd up and dangerous. Being a full on rock venue the chaps delved deep into thier hard rockin' souls and produced a set that will be talked about for years to come. The gig was helped along by a certain blonde dancer who was very involved with the music. Whilst having a mirrored wall opposite helped Fillet Bones perfect some of his on stage stances and also keep his hair straight.

20th July - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

Good to see that the Farriers has now got its music license back and even better to have Goldfish Don't Bounce kick of its resurgence with a storming set. The addition of Ozzy Osbournes classic Mr. Crowley shows the lads taking their set to a new technical high. "I can see your house from here" said Rupert. "Go back to sleep and stop fidgeting said Edward"

8th July - The Cat & Wheel, Glos. Rd, Bristol

5 encores????? Whats that all about. I'll tell you what its all about..........No rest for the banjo warriors this evening. They blasted through the 2 sets and being as tight as a gnats chuff, whatever that means, left a an exhausted and ecstatic crowd to think about they had done. "Make mine, a white wine spritzer, spritzer, spritzer......."

12th June - The Horseshoe, Downend, Bristol

A cloudy day and then sunshine at tea time. The smell of barbeques and then it gets dark, the natives get restless and lurch towards The Horseshoe for some hard rockin' sustenance kindly supplied by your bounceless chums. The addition to Ace of Spades to the second set caused much merryment and yet another three encores were dished out to an insistant crowd. "Yes! There are no bananas today"

22nd May - The Warwick Arms, Kingswood, Bristol

A good turn out tonight considering it's a Sunday with the Warwick supplying a small crowd that made a big noise. Bless them all. Good to see John running a pub again and return gigs are guaranteed later this year. That is as long as some moaning neighbour stops complaining to the council. "Luke. I am your father" etc

21st May - The Old Tavern, Stapleton, Bristol

First time back at the Tavern with new man Lilly Fat Bass Tid and a screaming success it was. Two new songs were added to the set, All The Small Things by Blink 182 and Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) by Green Day resulting in 3 encores, a ton of cd's sold and rapidly increasing legion of fans. Arise Lord Vader indeed.

8th May - The Black Horse, Kingswood, Bristol

Hard rock on a Sunday afternoon? Holy sabbath Batman. This is a punk crowd if there ever was one and the chaps recognised this and played their set to suit. We saw some blinding renditions of the greats and even finally managed to play Swords of a Thousand Men as promised to Martin a year ago. They only took 10 cd's along to test the water and 10 were sold. They'll be back. Uzi 9mm.

5th May - The Barrel Inn, Thornbury, S. Glos.

VOTE GOLDFISH VOTE GOLDFISH VOTE GOLDFISH VOTE GOLDFISH VOTE GOLDFISH VOTE GLODDFISH  I mean GOLDFISH and you know what. They did. The Barrel Inn, Thornbury ROCKS and the band gained 4 new bookings this year just on the strength of half a song at the sound check. They look forward to their return visit in July and plan to burn rubber, cardboard and some kindling if necessary to build up the heat and take no prisoners.

24th April - The Horseshoe, Downend, Bristol

Hard rockin’ looney toons indeed. The Lights, the songs, the need for speed. Tonight’s action was at its best and with an appreciative crowd the Horseshoe rockers lapped up generous helpings and in their gluttony had to have more. Cheers to you all.

15th April - Bunch of Grapes, Bristol

“The gig tonight at the Bunch of Grapes saw the band evolving into a fearsome beast hell bent on Bristol domination. The unique sounds and vocals of the Goldfish ensure that each song played takes on a new and fresh style. Their obvious professional approach to the whole show will ensure a busy future and many new fans” (email received 16/04/05. Many thanks)

27th March - The Royal Oak, Chipping Sodbury

What can I say? Good things come to those who wait. The new line up played their debut gig tonight and as the saying goes “went down a storm” Leaky and Bass Face kept the engine running, taking it into the red at every opportunity 'sar Dean and Fillet Bones doubled the guitar fun and traded licks like it was going out of fashion, whilst the star of the show? Lilly Fat Bass Tid took control of the situation and led the audience through a sexual orgy of rocking delight. He even took time to serenade one lucky lady who will remember tonight with fond memories, sometimes with her teeth in. Three encores and a record “whip round” later the band retire back to their rock and roll mansions looking forward to their return gig later this year.

16th January - The Old Tavern, Stapleton

First time here for the Goldies and certainly not the last. GDB blasted through two sets of hard rockin' tunes and even after exhausting their set to a hungrey crowd, managed to muster up a rendition of Reefs, Place Your Hands On as an encore. Thanks for all your support chaps & chapettes.
