29th December - The Reckless Engineer, Templemead, Bristol

I wonder. Does anyone read these pages? Let me know if you do, but especially if you don't. A grand evening out for everyone who turned out tonight and there was plenty. Happy birthday had to be sang twice for some children and after a 7 encore performance the LFB's brand new P.A. showed the world that this is band serious about it's sound and perfomance. See you all in the New Year.

20th December - The Boat Inn, Penallt, Monmouthshire

Another new venue based in Wales with it's car park in England all because of the river Wye. Why? We don't know. This is a small pub with a big welcome. They certainly know how to rock and with an invite to play the summer hog roast and three more dates booked in for 2008 should see the start of a beautilful relationship.

13th December - The Bristol Inn, Clevedon, N. Somerset

Although it was a bit on the quiet side tonight those who turned up made up for lost time. There were alot of calls for some Status Quo from certain members of the audience so the band stepped up to the mark and played a Queen song instead. Classic.

8th December - The Blackhorse, Kingswood, Bristol

It's always a good night at the 'orse and tonight was no exception. The second set saw the arrival of a very noisy crowd who as usual wouldn't let the band leave until they'd satisfied their hungry lust for rock. Bass Face and Fillet Bones had a Chicken Kebab on the way home which helped satisfy their hungrey lust for needing bigger trousers.

1st December - The Brunel, Bedminster, Bristol

Busy night tonight what with Christmas do's n' all. The crowd was certainly there to rock out with one there just to hear Ace Of Spades, which he did and he went home feeling good.

30th November - The Trout Tavern, Keynsham, N. Somerset

It was Victorian Day in Keynsham and when the band arrived they were greeted with fair ground rides and people in fancy dress. Most of the band supported the chocolate factory by signing a pertission to keep it open and a wonderful night was had by all.

24th November - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

There's been a change of management here and man the place was rammed with punters ready to rock and dance and drink and stand and clap and shout and press some money in the bands hands to keep playing. Now, it must be said that the band never got together to enjoy what they do and to be forced to play on after their bed time due to the loudest crowds around made them furious. Or was it happy. I forget. Some of them are still married. C'mon Bristol keep it coming............

17th November - The Reckless Engineer, Bristol

'king awesome gig. The Bristol fans were out on mass tonight and created enough magic and mayhem to push the boys into one of their most entertaining gigs to date. It just goes to prove that it's not just the band that should get all the applause but the fans deserve at least half of it for all their effort. 7 encores later and some of the best dancing so far the band went back to their oxygen tents to help reduce the ravages of time. Leakys 72 you know........

16th November - Stones Cross Hotel, Midsomer Norton

A lot has changed since Fillet Bones last played here with Blackfire. First of all you can't park at the front. Children driving small engine hatchbacks make squeally noises at the roundabout, LFB left an enormous gap in the middle of "In The Shadows," Bass Face threw a toilet roll in the toilet and someone was tired and grumpy at the end. Has the world gone mad? Probably.

11th November - Scott & Jan's Leaving Party at The Cat & Wheel

The band would like to thank Scott and Jan for inviting them to play at their last night at the Cat & Wheel and wish them the very best for the future.

10th November - The Miners Arms, Sling, Glos.

This is more like it. An incredibly enjoyable night was had by all in this new venue for the fresh water lads. We've started to notice that the country folk really enjoy their live music and certainly put Goldfish Don't Bounce in their special place. Bass Face made himself comfortable with Gammon and chips. It's like Torvil and Dean but without the pineapple.

9th November - The Mayors Arms, Redcliffe, Bristol

They came, set up, sound checked, packed away, went home. Something missing somewhere but hey ho!

3rd November - The Bunch Of Grapes, Central Bristol

Rock 'n roll splendido. It's the word on the street you know. You'll never guess who turned up tonight. It was Fugg from The Kilgors (Is that how it's spelt?) and Loud, Ugly & Crap fame. Shame it was an hour after the band finished and had packed away, but he was there. He promises to try harder next time. We will see! Special thanks to the lady in the car park who bent over and failed to wear that simple garment of under crackers and nearly caused Fillet Bones to run over some people. "Honest My Lord. It winked at me."

1st November - The Royal Oak, Chipping Sodbury, S. Glos.

Hooray for mad bloke. They come out of hiding from everywhere. That was the best chair dancing I've ever seen. Great night at The Oak as usual with some very attractive dancing going on. The lady who asked for a T shirt don't forget to send your address and we'll post it on to you as promised.

27th October - The Old Fox Inn, Horfield, Bristol

Sometimes it proves a little difficult to try and write an original review for a gig, but not tonight. Picture the scene. Half a dozen witches, a mummy, a gorilla, several ghouls and a small devil. Now picture floppy tits. If you were there you know what happened if you weren't, shame on you. Poor Lilly was up into the small hours having nightmares as he doesn't usually go for lap dances and especially not for free.

26th October - The Cat & Wheel, Cotham, Bristol

It's true then. Scott has finally had enough of the front line and wants to work a normal day. Apparently 16 hours a day, 7 days a week is too much for him. That said he will be missed. Due to the necessity of access to the smoking area the stage layout has been pushed to the front of the venue which after to initial concerns proved to be a great playing position. After a great night of stuff and a generous helping of porn shown on the TV only the band could see a date was booked that can't be talked about or advertised, but it is happening sometime. Shhhhhhhhhhh. Watch the pages and I may say when and where, but perhaps not...........

24th October - The Horseshoe, Downend, Bristol

Not even the outside heating and the hand sculptured umbrella things could keep people outside whilst the Goldfish went through their amazing movements. Speaking of which (WITCH), someone had even left an amazing movement in the gents which just didn't want to leave. Bless!!!!

20th October - The Railway Inn, Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset

Tonight could have gone two ways and it did. Well, one way really. England lost the rugby and the celebrations the band hoped for were not to be. Saying that the venue was still full of Goldfish fans looking forward to some hard rocking after their visit earlier in the year and with six encores played they look forward to returning to play their booking for next year. Cheers all.

19th October - The Queen Victoria, Stroud, Glos.

This is the bands second visit to The Queen Vic and they were not disappointed by the reception. For anyone visiting the area for a night out it is the perfect option. A quality pub & music venue one side, a heated and covered smoking area in the middle and The Little Vic the other side catering for the young people? There was plenty of dancing, and cheering and the band were literally forced to play Whole Lotta Rosie again after 5 encores before being allowed to go home. Spank minidisc.

13th October - The Golden Lion, Frampton Cottrell, Glos.

Corking venue this. It's a pub Mmmmmm, a hotel Corrrrrrr and an Indian Restaurant Woohooooooooo. What more can the average human ask for? Lots !!! but there you go. The band started late tonight due to some team or another playing a game with an egg. It's not Easter yet is it? Anyway they won and then music was played and then re-booking took place for next year. All in all a successful evening for all.

30th September - The Old Tavern, Stapleton, Bristol

A quality night was had by all and being the final day of the Beer Festival meant only one thing. There was alot to do. Beer was drunk, drunks were beered, music was played, trousers were worn, legs were danced and in some cases top buttons were undone. How casual..........

8th September - The Blackhorse, Kingswood, Bristol

Usual rockin' night at the 'orse. Apparently they had some bloke in a couple of weeks back who had a go at Swords Of A Thousand Men but didn't quite manage equal the lads version. Whats was his name? Ed Tudor Pole or something. I'm sure he'll get over it.

31st August - The Kings Arms, Bath

It's that time of year again when Bass Face swims upstream, fertilizes his eggs and has another baby. The three remaining cherubs thought "blow this for a game of soldiers" and decided to do the gig anyway and it went down a storm with alot of complementary feedback. A new small person was born into the world at 15:30 and instead of cigars we celebrated with spring rolls. Class.

27th August - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

At last. After all these years and countless attempts the band finally had weather good enough to play outside on the stage in the beer garden. Anyone who was anyone was there and anyone that wasn't, well, wasn't. The only excuse for non attendance was being located in New York at the time, but we will need to see a passport and necessary paperwork to back it up. The fun kicked off at 3pm and didn't finish until almost 5:30pm. What at fitting end to a rockin' weekend. Time to go home and put the jogging trousers on, have a glass of wine and watch re-runs of Top Gear. Lovely.

25th August - Biker Rally, Codrington Arms, Codrington

This gig was put together by The United Bikers Of Great Britain Sodbury Chapter. So, they had a trailer, a jar of electricity and lots of leather clad men in attendance. I'm sure I saw the occasional motorcycle but who can say. Lots of loud music was played, people clapped and burgers and hotdogs were eaten. Who could ask for more.......?

24th August - The Trout Tavern, Keynsham, N. Somerset

It's been nearly and month since the boy's last gig due the holiday thang and they roared back with a vengeance tonight adding a well received Pump It Up and Centerfold to their set. A big hello to Jackie and Jim who apparently read these little bits of history and a special thanks to the "Jolly Boys Outing" who popped in at the end of the night for a quiet bitter lemon and to discuss current affairs.

27th July - The Reckless Engineer, Bristol

As always a damn fine gig at The Reckless Engineer seeing the chaps in fine rockin' form. Fillet Bones debuts his new enormous Dean Razorback guitar and the others were all content with just being enormous. Some great pictures were taken tonight by Mark Davenport and as always a special thanks to all those up dancing.

20th July - Scally's Bar, Weston-super-Mare

A quiet night not helped by the rain but those who made it out received the band with the usual glee. Next time we want to see those #&£$ing  hands..............

14th July - Bunch Of Grapes, Central Bristol

"Oh won't you take me home tonight, Oh down beside your red firelight, Oh and you give it all you got, Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round, Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round" was all that could heard from little pockets of the crowd when the band finished with it as their encore. Smashing. Considering it is Ashton Court Festival this weekend the Bunch saw a fine turnout of people looking to enjoy their night out and they did just that. Dancing, singing along, drinking beer and have photo's taken with Fillet Bones. There was even representation from Blackfire and Gripshift in the crowd. That'll teach them.

7th July - The Railway Inn, Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset

It's been a year! and with a change of management shows a vast improvement in the venue. Kicking off with the usual gusto had the audience transfixed by the energy of the music and the hypnotic jiggling of LFB. This is one of those quality nights attended by plenty of young beauties, some of which even talked to the band which terrified Fillet Bones as he does struggle to see through the evil. New tunes Word Up and Fat Bottomed Girls where well received and another booking for October topped the night off a treat. Thanks to Sam for sorting the sound.

1st July - The Old Tavern, Stapleton, Bristol

A good turn out tonight considering that it didn't stop p?%£ing down all day. The band got to try out their new flashing lights and with a blazing set of trusty tunes made those affected by the smoking ban forget all about their cravings for a couple of hours. It's a service they provide............

23th June - Slimebridge Beer Festival, Glos.

What a day. It all started for the band at 2pm who were surrounded by thunder, lightning and torrential rain. Whilst the sound engineers battled to set up the stage the field quickly turned into a quagmire. Then the sun came out briefly and the sound check happened and they saw that it was good………

The beer festival kicked off at 6pm with Short Elbow who played a quality set of blues and Pink Floyd. Next up was Dale Williams one man show played all the fav’s including his rendition of Dolly Partons Tits. Then at 9:45 Goldfish Don’t Bounce took control of the stage, with special guest Rob Sully covering drum duties, played through to 11pm with the first mosh pit ever seen at Slimbridge and a stage invasion by hungry fans saw the night off in a very rockin’ fashion.

The band want to thank the Slimbridge Beer Festival for a fantastic day and especially the after show party which saw Fillet Bones with his chum Spikey Paul sitting up until 5:30am testing the remains of the beer and young Cassy impressively downing a pint in one go during The Boat Race. How can they still be alive?

7th June - The Royal Oak, Chipping Sodbury, S. Glos.

A new disco stage lamp was taken through it's paces tonight and with different coloured pretty lights the music was lifted to new heights, up to about 3" (76mm) higher than the usual 4' 7". (1397mm). An imperial triumph.

3rd June - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

It was a 50/50 decision whether to play outside but it looked like it might f@#? down so the boys set up inside. This didn't sop the masses turning out though and a rocktastic time was had by all. As usual the encores kept on coming and the band had to finally put their collective foot down and bid them farewell. We like the Farriers.

1st June - The Brunel, Bedminster, Bristol

As the famous Wallace said to his dinner guest/tenant "More cheese Penguin" shows just how fond these flightless birds are of their dairy products and the penguins were definatey out tonight. With a nice big stage to run around and displaying a talent for crashing into each other the band delivered yet another memorable performance and as the landlord held Fillet Bones and Leaky's hands and asked them to play in his pub in Bournemouth they could only say. " 'es"

19th May - The Old Fox Inn, Horfield, Bristol

Tonight's gig at The Old Fox was made an extra special occasion as it saw the return of Leaky to the drum stool after convalescing from his time at the clinic and we all agree that the operation was a complete success. After an afternoon of FA Cup (yawn etc) madness the kind people of Horfield still felt fit enough to turn out and support the band in the only way they know how.............by standing in front of them, listening to the music, dancing and applauding.

12th May - The Blackhorse, Kingswood, Bristol

The usual stuff. Shredding, rocking, arsing around and songs designed for the deaf. Yes, just another day in paradise.

5th May - The Bunch Of Grapes, Central Bristol

Tonight was Fillets Bones birthday who will always remain ageless enjoyed and extremely vocal crowd including the current and previous bass players from Gripshift including himself. With yet more clowning around from Leaky and a new playing position in the Bunch created a much more enjoyable experience for all.

4th May - The Cat & Wheel, Cotham, Bristol

Anyone at tonight's gig at The Cat would have noticed a stranger in the ranks with a microphone and a bag of props. Yes it was Leaky with his broken arm and collection of wigs, mostly ladies for some reason, who provided backing vocals and general arsing about for the amusement of the crowd.

22nd April - The Horseshoe, Downend, Bristol

You may have noticed that this log is usually updated a few hours after the end of the gig, but foolishly I decided to go straight to bed last night and managed to cause an email from someone complaining that they stayed up to check the site at 2am and nothing had changed. Oh the control and power these words have conceived. Oh yes. Gig. Songs. Rocked. People clapping. Encores. Ready salted crisps. Laters.

19th April - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

Special booking for Daves birthday bash and plenty turned out to celebrate and cheer on the band. Lots of fimiliar faces turned up tonight and some people not seen for while. Where've you been? Rob the drummer is moving house tomorrow so spent the evening stocking up on pies and sandwiches from the buffet. Coolio. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh yes. Coolio indeed!!!!!!!!

13th April - Old Nicks, Central Bristol

The band stepped up to support Phatt Sabbath at this new venue and played a blinding 40 minute set before handing over the stage to the dark lords of riffage.

12th April - The Kings Arms, Brislington, Bristol

The band would like to apologise to everyone at the gig tonight for the poor sound and mix. This is the first time they have been criticised for this since forming and will ensure that it will not happen again. So a special thanks to those who enjoyed the show and they hope to see you at any of their gigs in the near future.

8th April - The Old Tavern, Stapleton, Bristol

Wotcha Paul. A newly refurbished Tav with a new stage, new owners and some wonderfully clean toilets. There was some concern about how the band were going to fit on the platform but once sorted it made for a great night out for all. Yes Paul. That does include you. Yet more dancing was going on tonight by yet more ladies wearing nothing but clothes and shoes. Do they have no shame. Lets hope not. Night Paul.

31st March - The Trout Tavern, Keynsham, N. Somerset

What's going on? People seem to be dancing a lot more nowadays, which isn't a problem 'cause it make the band look funktastic. The evening was made especially splend by a hen party turning up. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm unbridled things......... A special thank you for the bloke who waited to the end of the night before kicking off with his own brand of toolishness before being band and thrown out. Lovelly stuff!!!!!

24th March - The Reckless Engineer, Bristol

The band thought they wouldn't be able to top last nights gig at in Stroud, but how wrong they were. From the start the crowd were "well up for it" and spent most of the time in a sweaty pile in front of the stage. At the end of the night and after 3 encores the bar staff came up to the stage with promises of cash to play another 3 numbers. This helped the guys make the decision to keep going or was it the big scary blokes stopping them leaving the stage. Who will ever know!!!!!!!!!

23rd March - The Queen Vic, Stroud, Glos.

First time here and the first gig for Rob Sully on drums after learning the set in 10 days to cover Leakys sick leave and the boy did good. This place was packed to the rafters with people wanting to see what the Goldfish thang was all about and none were disappointed. The band were most impressed by the amount of people dancing and flinging themselves about during the set. C'mon Bristol give it a go............

24th February - The Farriers Arms, Fishponds, Bristol

When the band arrived and set up there was only half a dozen people in having a quiet drink. By the time they had finished their set the punters were climbing the walls and screaming for more. That's the stuff. It's good to see the females dancing around. I bet their husbands were furious wondering where they are. Only joking..................

5th February - The Royal Oak, Chipping Sodbury, S. Glos.

They loved it tonight. A storming set as usual with the loudest singalong that we've ever heard. Fair play to you all for knowing the words. Everyone try and see Tony's band on 8th March as it promisies to be a good night.

10th February - The Blackhorse, Kingswood, Bristol

I'm not sure if the band were concentrating on the audience or the music tonight as there were a fair few beauties in. That said, they blasted out thier set with the usual gusto and managed to scare a few punters in the toilets to fill in time.

9th February - The Kings Arms, Bath

An ecstatic crowd in Bath. Lots of jumping about and dancing and even a diseased Fillet Bones managed a brief smile before collapsing into a jibbering heap at the end. Due to very strict playing times the band managed one encore before having to run for cover from a rock hungry horde.

2nd February - The Cat & Wheel, Cotham, Bristol

An outstanding performance at the Cat tonight with an incredibly enthusiastic crowd. The real ales and Black Rat cider were flowing a treat and the band were treated to what must have been the tallest man in Bristol dancing to Swords A Thousand Men. Super.

27th January - The Bunch Of Grapes, Central Bristol

Good to be back at The Grapes. A good turn out to night with a very vocal crowd. One member of the audience insisted the Fillet Bones played his guitar behind his head. So he was asked to turn around. Subtle. That what it's all about.

24th January - The Horseshoe, Downend, Bristol

The ladies were certainly enjoying their hard rock tonight. If the band aren't careful they may end up as sex symbols. That is if some deviant wants to take them up on the deal. That said, it's time to oil them up before bedtime. Pass the Mazola.

19th January - Scalleys Bar, Weston-super-Mare

Some hard rockin', serious drinking, singing, playing guitars and hitting drums. People shouting for more, getting more and Roger Moore. Well! It keeps you fit doesn't it.

13th January - The Old Tavern, Stapleton, Bristol

This is the way to start the gigging year. A massive turn out tonight at the Tav’ with an extra special debut of Lilly Fat Bass Tid's new haircut (photo on the way) which according to way fan stopped him looking like “Long haired jitter” whatever that means?
