2010 News:
25/01/10 - This has been an awesome start of the year for the new line up. The band kicked off their January 2010
schedule at The Royal Oak and quickly followed up with dates at The Bunch Of Grapes, Reckless Engineer, Portcullis and The
Fox Inn. Each gig has seen a massive increase of fans and appreciation. They have already added Evanesence – Bring Me
To Life, Janis Joplin – Piece Of My Heart and Led Zeppelin – Immigrant Song to the set and promise to keep future
sets fresh with more classic and modern rockin’ tunes as the year unfolds.
2009 News: 06/03/09 - Count
Homer and Bass Face have joined forces with Scuba Jane (First Element), Jim Plaicemaker (Crossfire &
Bozooka Joe) and Chris (The Johnsons & Bazooka Joe) for a special one off appearance on Saturday 21st March 2009 at The
Reckless Engineer, Temple Gate, Bristol.
2008 News:
01/02/08 - Vocalist
Nigel Boylan has quit. The band is devastated at the news and has had to cancel all their dates for 2008.
2007 News: 30/12/07 - Leaky has announced his intention to leave the band at the end of January 2008 due to an offer of a real job within the M25, which
is basically a big moat surrounding the castle of London. We wish him well with his future endeavours, but with every slice
of bad news comes a jug full of custard brimming with good news and the band are pleased to announce that Rim Scuttler has joined the band and is currently in rehearsal helping to put together a new set ready for February 2008. Rim has been
most noticeable during his years playing with Fab 208 and has dreamed of one day owning a band that plays all his favourite
tunes but some gentle brain washing should put pay to that. 19/05/07 - Tonight's
gig at The Old Fox was made an extra special occasion as it saw the return of Leaky to the drum stool after convalescing from
his time at the clinic and we all agree that the operation was a complete success. The band want to extend an extra special
thank you to Rob Sully who has allowed the band to carry on playing whilst Leaky was off and we all wish him every success
with his band Gripshift23/03/07 - Unfortunately Leaky was recently knocked off his scooter and managed to break his wrist, which has spoilt
all his hobbies and he also cannot play the drums. So we wish him a speedy repair. If you wish to send him money. Don't.
He'll only spend it on food and winter utility bills. That said the band are lucky enough to have Rob Sully standing in
for a couple of months. Rob plays drums for Gripshift and Phatt Sabbath and was given 10 days to learn 2 hours worth of songs.
No problem. 16/02/07 - Just to clarify couple of cancellations. The gig booked for the 17th February at Robins is cancelled as the
promoter is no longer with the venue and completely failed to put the dates in their diary and the gig for the 17th March
at The Highwayman is cancelled due to problems with their music licence. I hope this clears up the confusion.
01/01/07 -
Happy new year to everyone whose supported the band during 2006. There's plenty of gigs booked in already for this year
and plenty of room for more with a strong hope of pulling in some of the Summer bike shows around the South West. Also Count
Homer has officially hung up his bass after giving Blackfire 3 months notice and now wishes to commit to the Goldfish
troop with a few side projects thrown in for good measure.
20/10/06 - Goldfish Don't Bounce are now taking bookings for 2007. Anyone wishing to hire the band please contact us
via our Guestbook & Email and drop us a line. 02/10/06 - Our apologies to anyone who turned up to see the band at The Farriers Arms last night. Unfortunatly one of
the bands closest family member was rushed into hospital yesterday evening and under the circumstances did the right thing
by cancelling the gig. They are due back on the 2nd December and promise to make up for the lost time. 23/08/06 - The has been some confusion with dates booked for the Bunch of Grapes, Bristol. We will now be appearing on
Saturday 16th September and not the 2nd Sept as previously advertised. We apologise for the inconvenience. 16/07/06 - The band now have T shirts available which they plan to sell for only £6.00 each, the same price they cost to produce. They will be ready for
the Reckless Engineer gig on Friday 21st July 2006. There will be an entry fee of £3.00 at this gig and the first 50
paying punters will receive a free numbered cd. During the gig a draw will take place and one lucky individual will received
a free T Shirt. Howzat ? 2005 News:
29/12/05 - Website updated with a new look for 2006. 13/10/05 - Please note that the
gig booked at The Blackhorse, Kingswood for the 3rd December as been changed to Saturday 26th November. 14/07/05 - I'm
pleased to announce that as of Tuesday 19th July The Farriers Arms will officially have their music license back. This does
mean the gig booked for this Saturday will have to be cancelled. Boo. However, they have re-booked for next Wednesday 20th
July. Hooray. This should be a storming night as this will be the first gig in three months
to be held at this venue and the lads have ordered in extra posing oils for the occasion. 10/07/05 - Good news everyone. The Guestbook is up and running again. 03/07/05 - Problems, problems,
problems. It seems that the Barrel Inn, Thornbury has gone out of business. The band have tried contacting the promoter on
several occasions and a visit to the pub today found it closed. What more can be done. Also the Guestbook is down, but hopefully this will be temporary as they're missing your witty comments. 12/05/05 - The gig booked for tomorrow night at the Farriers Arms, Fishponds has been cancelled. Apparently the owner
has asked that all bands booked for this weekend, 3 in total, to be put off without any explanation. This must be the work
of the Friday the 13th brigade. Never mind. The band look forward to seeing you all next Saturday at The Old Tavern,
Stapleton. 07/05/05 - Goldfish Don't Bounce will be selling their new 5 track cd 'The Cover Up E.P.' as of tomorrow. For a pultry £3.00 you can own this work of art
containing their renditions of Intro of a Madman, Children of the Grave, Everything About You, Everlong & New Rose. All
classic driving or hoovering music. If anyone would like to order one in advance of any of the upcoming gigs please feel free
to send an email. 01/05/05 - The lads have now completed
work in Rotator Studio's, Oxford where they recorded versions of Children of the Grave, Everything About You,
Everlong, New Rose and have included their adopted Intro of a Madman for good measure. This cd will be made available at future
gigs, but for now check out the Sounds page for a taster of things to come. They would also like to thank Einar Tonsberg for his patience and professional approach
to working with these fruit loops and wish him well with his Eberg project when he returns to his native Iceland (The country not the frozen food supermarket) 29/04/05 - Due to Personal reasons 'sar Dean is unable to carry on working with the band. He will be missed. 17/04/05
- Special thanks to Mark Davenport for some cool pics taken at The Bunch Of Grapes. 16/04/05 - The
band are going into the studio within the next few week to record some of the songs, a sample of which will be posted on the
sounds page as an mp3 for free download. Bargain. 30/03/05 - See Gig History and read how the new line up did at their debut gig at The Royal
Oak. 19/02/05 - Goldfish Don't Bounce would like to welcome new recruits Lilly Fat Bass Tid to vocal duties and 'sar Dean on second guitar. The band are overjoyed with the new line up and look forward
to a storming debut gig at the Royal Oak on the 27th March. 16/02/05 - The band have split with vocalist Sea-Bass-Tian Rock Pool a.k.a. Paul Mansfield
and wish him well with his future endevours. 12/02/05 - The band have had to pull out of Tonights gig at The Black Horse, Kingswood
as the vocalist has phoned in sick. Although they are all extremely disappointed, they would like to thank The Pistol Shots
for stepping in at the last minute (which does have Fillet and Leaky as members) rather than let down the venue and
anyone planning to see a live band tonight. 05/02/05 - Website updated and improved. 02/01/05 - New website goes online.
